Heinrich Christian Haasis

Born in Streichen (Germany), 1945.
Since January 2012, member of the Board of Directors of Criteria CaixaHolding, a company merged with Servihabitat XXI in December 2013, when he was appointed member of the Board of Directors of the current company CriteriaCaixa (the company arisen from the merger). Member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee as from July, 2019.
Graduate in Business Administration (1968).
He began his career as a politician, specifically as Mayor of Bisingen (1971-1981), governor of the district Zollernalb, Baden-Württemberg (1981-1991) and member of the Parliament of Baden-Württemberg (1976-2001), and was also since 1980 Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the CDU.
He served as World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI) President (2012-2018) and has also held the posts, among others, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oversight Board of the LBBW Landesbank Baden-Württemberg (Public Bank of Baden-Württemberg), Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Sparkassen-Versicherung Holding AG Baden-Württermberg (Savings Bank Insurance Company), President of Württembergischer Sparkassen-und Giroverband/Sparkassenverband Baden-Württemberg (Württemberg Saving Banks Association; 1991-2006), Chairman of Deutscher Sparkassen - und Giroverband (German Savings Banks Association; 2006-2012), Chairman of the European Savings Banks Group (2006-2009) and Chairman of the Supervisory Board DekaBank, Frankfurt und Landesbank Berlin Holding AG.
He now holds several honorary appointments, such as Honorary President of the WSBI and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Council of Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation (SBFIC – Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation, since 2012).
He has received many awards, including the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
