CriteriaCaixa and the Spanish Chamber of Commerce sign an agreement to promote investment in Spanish companies

 The Spanish Chamber of Commerce will collaborate in promoting the “100 Companies Plan” designed by CriteriaCaixa within the framework of its 2025-2030 Strategic Plan

Madrid, February 28, 2025.- The chairman of CriteriaCaixa, Isidro Fainé, and the chairman of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, José Luis Bonet, signed an agreement between both entities aimed to collaborate for the development and deployment of the “100 Companies Plan”, designed by CriteriaCaixa within its 2025-2030 Strategic Plan.

Within the framework of its Strategic Plan, CriteriaCaixa – the holding company that manages the business assets of ”la Caixa” Foundation – aims to invest in more than 100 companies established in Spain and southern Europe in the next five years, by a combination of both direct and indirect investment. Through the deployment of the “100 Companies Plan”, CriteriaCaixa aims to promote innovation and development in the territory, following sustainability, social action and good governance criteria, to generate a positive impact on the economy and society.

The Spanish Chamber of Commerce will collaborate in the execution of this plan. Based on its implementation and knowledge of the country’s economic context, the Spanish Chamber of Commerce will introduce to CriteriaCaixa investment opportunities in non-listed companies candidate to participate in the “100 Companies Plan”. Also it will facilitate the presence of the holding company in trade missions of potential interest for the Plan, as well as in events and meetings of companies, entities and institutions with the purpose of promoting mutual knowledge, dialogue and exchange.

The chairman of CriteriaCaixa, Isidro Fainé, expressed: “This agreement contributes to promoting the “100 Companies Plan”, a project that will involve investing in a hundred companies both from Spain and other European countries, which CriteriaCaixa wants to support with its industrial experience and financial strength to boost their growth. The aim is to promote excellent companies that generate recurring profitability to guarantee Criteria’s ultimate goal, which is to generate dividends for “la Caixa” Foundation, and at the same time allow it to contribute to promoting the industrial development that Spain and Europe will need in the coming years.”

For his part, José Luis Bonet, assured: “The Spanish Chamber of Commerce is firmly committed to business growth.
