Barcelona, 18 March 2025.- CriteriaCaixa, the holding company that manages the industrial assets of ”la Caixa” Foundation, has closed the acquisition of a 5.011% stake in the French company Veolia Environnement. The transaction is part of recently announced agreement for CriteriaCaixa’s stable participation in Veolia’s shareholding and governing bodies.
This agreement will enable Criteria to have a representative on Veolia’s Board of Directors, for which the appointment of Elena Salgado will be proposed at the next General Shareholders’ Meeting as a director and member of two of its committees. As Veolia’s shareholder, Criteria will support the company’s strategic direction, governance and independence, both on the Board and at the General Meeting.
