Julia Salaverría Monfort
Born in San Sebastián in 1961.
Ms Salaverría Monfort has been a member of the Board of Directors of CriteriaCaixa and of the CriteriaCaixa Appointments and Remuneration Committee since April 2026.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Business Studies from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Deusto and an Executive Diploma in Business Administration (PADE) from IESE Business School (University of Navarra).
In 1985, she joined the Research Department of the Bank of Spain, where she held several senior positions before being appointed Chief Economist. From 2000 to 2007, she was the Fund Manager at the venture capital management company Talde Gestión S.G.E.I.C., and since 2007, she has been the CEO and Secretary of the Board of Directors of YSIOS CAPITAL PARTNERS S.G.E.I.C, where she is a co-founder and member of its Investment Committee.
She has served as a director on the boards of a wide range of companies in the industrial, services, food, technology and life sciences sectors, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of SpainCap.
Currently, she is an independent director, Chair of the Appointments Committee and member of Cecabank’s Audit and Remuneration Committees. She also holds the position of Vice Chair of the Provincial Council of Guipúzcoa of the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
She has participated as a speaker in various postgraduate and master’s courses, as well as contributing as an expert in specialised conferences and seminars. She has also published extensively on convergence in Europe, the monetary union and other economic matters.
