Xavier Brossa Galofré
Born in Sant Quirze del Vallès in 1959.
Member of the Board of Directors, the Audit and Control Committee, and the Appointments and Remuneration Committee since April 2026.
He is President of the Spanish Association of Executives (AED), trustee of the Societat Econòmica Barcelonesa d’Amics del País, and trustee of the Fundació Món Clínic (Hospital Clínic of Barcelona). He is also a member of the Finance Commission (MCC) of the Euroleague. In addition, he provides strategic and financial advisory services as an independent director to companies across different sectors.
He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and is a Chartered Accountant (Censor Jurado de Cuentas) and a member of the Official Register of Auditors (Registro Oficial de Auditores de Cuentas). He completed the General Management Program (PDG) and the Advanced Management Program (PADE) at IESE Business School (University of Navarra) in 1994 and 2016, respectively.
He began his professional career at PricewaterhouseCoopers Barcelona in 1982, remaining with the firm for 36 years. In 1989, he spent one year working professionally at PwC London. He was appointed Partner in 1996, and from 2006 to 2018 he served as the Partner in charge of the PwC Barcelona office, leading a team of more than 700 professionals. Throughout his career, he has led the audits of major national and international corporations.
He was a member of the Board of Directors of Abertis from February 2018 until July 2021, also serving as Chairman of its Audit Committee. He was also a member of the Board of Trustees of the ”la Caixa” Banking Foundation from April 2024 until January 2026.
